Holland career interest guide
Six RIASEC interest domains.
What is the Holland interest inventory?
Holland’s RIASEC model groups career and environment interests into six main types. The aim is to see where you have more energy and interest, not only where you already look “successfulâ€.
The six RIASEC types
- R — Realistic: practical, technical, and hands-on work
- I — Investigative: analysis, research, and problem-solving
- A — Artistic: creativity, expression, and ideas
- S — Social: helping, teaching, and working with people
- E — Enterprising: leading, persuading, and driving goals
- C — Conventional: order, data, structure, and precision
