Type indicator (MBTI) guide
Four dimensions and sixteen types.
What is personality type?
This educational assessment follows a Jungian framework and measures preferences on four dimensions to arrive at one of sixteen types. The aim is self-knowledge and better communication — not a fixed label or a prediction of the future.
Four core dimensions
- E / I: extraversion vs introversion — social or inner sources of energy
- S / N: sensing vs intuition — concrete facts vs patterns and possibilities
- T / F: thinking vs feeling — logic-led vs values-led decisions
- J / P: judging vs perceiving — preference for structure vs flexibility
How should you answer?
- Each question has two options; pick the one closer to your real self.
- Think about your usual pattern, not one special situation.
- Do not give the socially desirable answer; the result is for your growth.
How is the result useful?
- See your decision and communication style more clearly
- Work more smoothly with people who differ from you
- Know type strengths and manage blind spots more consciously
