VARK learning styles guide
Visual, aural, read/write, and kinesthetic
What is VARK?
An educational frame for how you prefer to take in information: visual, aural, read/write, kinesthetic—so you can study more effectively.
Four preferences
- Visual (V): charts, images, maps
- Aural (A): talk and sound
- Read/Write (R): text and notes
- Kinesthetic (K): practice and experience
How should you answer?
- Think about your usual pattern in recent weeks and months.
- Be honest; the result is for self-knowledge and growth, not a score to win.
- If you are between two options, pick the one closer to reality.
How is the result useful?
- See strengths and growth areas meaning-first
- Act more deliberately at work, in relationships, and in learning
- Continue self-knowledge with articles and behavioral tests
Note: Academy assessment adapted for compatibility with the official version; styles are preferences, not talent limits.
